After sold-out out plays and between studio sessions for a brand new album many folks would try to squeeze in rest. But Oakland’s Ise Lyfe doesn’t fall into the category of “many people.” Tonight he’ll hit Yoshi’s San Francisco with a band for a night of live music, spoken word, and whatever else the multi-talented artist is moved to do.
Ise Lyfe has been involved with the spoken word and hip-hop communities both locally and nationally for years incorporating his work with his fight for social justice. This week while promoting “Inside the Mind of Ise Lyfe,” the MC stopped by Street Is Talking Radio to discuss the show, his growth as a brand, local artists speaking on his name and his Oscar Grant scholarship.
So if you are wondering exactly what goes on in the mind of Ise Lyfe, peep the interview and music below and get your tickets. Doors open at 10. Show starts at 10:30. Yoshi’s SF, 1330 Fillmore St.
