Tom Hanks Celebrates Halloween with Stephen Colbert

Oakland’s Tom Hanks stopped by The Colbert Report to share Halloween costume ideas with the kids. Well, it was supposed to be for the kids anyway. He did give costume ideas, but they were all inspired by characters he’s played in movies. For instance, he recommended being a cowboy (Woodie from Toy Story), an astronaut (Jim Lovell from Apollo 13), and a cast away (Chuck Noland in Cast Away), among others. It also set-up the revelation that he plays six different roles in his new film Cloud Atlas.
How Eddie Murphy of him.

Cloud Atlas is an ambitious undertaking of political, spiritual, and space-time continuum perplexities. Spanning six stories in six different eras, it tackles the connections between us and the strands of resistance that stretch through the ages. The lengthy saga has been released to mixed reviews, but promises to be a piece that makes you think. If you haven’t read the book, that’s a sound recommendation from the lit heads in your timeline. Trust.
