Andre S.O.G. Ward defeated Chad Dawson in 10 rounds on a technical knockout in a dominant performance at Oakland’s Oracle Arena on September 8th. Ward is a native of Hayward, CA, but trains in and reps for Oakland at every turn. As he’s often done in the past, Ward forced his opponent to fight him on his home turf in front of an enthusiastic crowd that included baseball great Pete Rose, boxing legend Sugar Shane Mosley, Lakers’ star Metta World Peace (fka Ron Artest) and Dodgers all star Matt Kemp.
