Music Video: The Cataracs feat. Waka Flocka & Kascade: “All You”

Waka throws up Brick Squad. The Cataracs throw up Berkeley.

Welcome to the Wild Random West. In their video for “All You” The Cataracs wander into a southwestern ghost town, drink alcohol from a woman’s breast, trip balls with Aliens, party with Waka Flocka, have a old fashioned shoot-out with a bar patron, and are saved by a Segway-riding Waka. It all sounds a tad outlandish, especially given the nature of the electronic club track, but some how it works.

Off top, you gotta love Niles and David’s aloof sense of humor, dry wit, and bemused acting. The direction is strange, but intriguing, and Waka is just Waka. After seeing him in concert, I have to admit that he grew on me a bit. He occurs to me as an overgrown kid rubbing his self-proclaimed “get money gut” in a candy shop full of edible vixens. I’m not a huge fan of his limited vocabulary or musical content, but he always looks like he’s having a grand ‘ol time, and I have to appreciate that. So saddle up to a voluptuous bartender’s breast, hit play, and prepare to get turnt up. SQUAADDD!!

You can find “All You” on the most recent Bay Abridged mixtape, featuring our favorite hip-hop and R&B of Spring 2012. Download it HERE.
