Once upon a time, Saturday mornings were about Fruity Pebbles and cartoons. Now, they are about strong cups of coffee and catching up on blogs. Today, I was quite excited to see that The Smoking Section had posted a video of Locksmith’s “5 Fingers of Death Freestyle” from his visit to “Sway in the Morning.”

Just the idea of the Richmond MC showcasing his skills to the masses via a show hosted by Oakland’s own excited me. Sway has always been a trusted source for music, whether as part of the 106 KMEL’s “The Breakfast Club” or with King Tech for “The Wake Up Show.” Then you throw in That Sway is in an MTV VJ and Locksmith was introduced to a number of cats via his appearance on an MTV battle, and you have a great little Bay Area hip-hop moment.

Bay connections aside, I was certain that Locksmith was gonna rip some shit. How do you think he did?
