Music Video: Mistah FAB & Blast Holiday: “Dear God”

How does one live righteous in an evil world? This is a common struggle for oppressed populations from impoverished American hoods to war torn third world countries. When you grow up in the belly of the beast, survival instincts kick in by necessity, hence the saying, “Get it how you live.”  And yet, that tug-of-war between right and wrong persists.  Below, North Oakland natives Blast Holiday and Mistah FAB wrestle with these issues of loss, survival and faith in the video for “Dear God,” a cut off 2011′s I Found My Backpack. The song drops at the 4:15 mark, and is preceded by an intro short, shot by Jays Wetwork.

And for those of you looking for new material from FAB, check out his latest installment of The Realest Shit I Never Wrote, his episodic freestyle mixtape series.
