The Mix: NPR’s Beyond California Dreamin’

January 25th, 2011  |  Published in Music, Uncategorized

NPR just compiled a mix of California songs that explore the musical terrain beyond the cheesy classics we’ve come to know and love. It turns out there is music as diverse as the terrain and temperatures we have out here. Granted, because it’s an NPR mix, they skimped a bit on the hip-hop side of things and the mix panders more to the SCO than the O, but it’s still definitely worth checking out! So without further ado, welcome to the land of opportunity, sin, sun, heartbreak and rebirth. We just call it Cali for short.
