Nio Tha Gift is a force to be wreckoned with. Whether you are a fan of Bay Area hip-hop or the genre in general, you have to give this young man his propers. Hailing from South Richmond, the wordsmith sings and raps, with intelligence, ferocity and bravado.
His flow is raw and unique, his mind is wise beyond his 20 years and his drive to sit atop the game is evident. Here, he goes in over Jay Electronica’s modern day classic, “Exhibit A.” Given the gusto with which Jay tore this beat up, it’s a tall order to remake, but Nio unabashedly rips it a new one anyway.
