Fabby Davis Jr. drops a tad of trealness

October 29th, 2008  |  Published in Uncategorized

I have a love/hate relationship with Mistah FAB because he can put out some of the worst hyphy minstrelsy ever, and then turn around and produce some real, witty and intelligent stuff. His latest mixtape is the Demolition Men helmed Play Time is Over, and true to its title, he sounds the recess bell and hits the block. The whole album isn’t grimy and serious, but even when he’s just joshing, he’s funny and clever (see “Dipped in Butter”). You can download Playtime is Over here (in addition to most of the joints he has ever released). Below are a few of my favorite tracks on the mixtape for your streaming pleasure. Overall, the whole joint is pretty good, and a little free music never hurt nobody.
